I've just bought a SNES with these games...

Mario Kart
Super Mario Allstars
Toy Story
Cybernator
Super Bomberman
Mortal Kombat 2
NBA Hang Time
Manchester United Championship Soccer

Where is the best place to buy games apart from ebay? Places like (exchange high street places) generally have 360, xbox, PS3, PS2 and ps1 games now

There was a game that was like turrican i can remmeber playing on SNES that was excellent. Cant remember what the name of it was, any ideas?

Thanks, it was Contra i was thinking about. Is Super Metroid better? I loved playing Turrican and Turrican 2 on Amiga.

What connection is SNES, it says it comes with RF cable, I take it that is supports SCART connection too. Do these come with it, i cant remember what connection are on the back of the SNES

Oh wow... SNES. Super Star Wars, Batman returns, Street Fighter Alpha, Star Fox, F Zero, Mario world, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong oooo so many top games at the time..

I loved my SNES and played it until I got my first Playstation and sadly GT1, Tomb Raider 1, Res Evil 1, Wipe out 2097 saw me no longer playing with it, so I sold it for PS games..!!

Oh well, everything moves on. Still a great machine though.. Enjoy.

Despite things moving on, doesnt change the fact that last year the game i played most was mario kart through Znes emulator on big tv.

Now we can fire up Mario Kart tournaments in proper original mode. Cant wait

Just been out at lunch and got Super tennis from a second hand cd/dvd/game place for £3 (unboxed)

Think i will probably buy donkey kong country from the bay for £7inc

Im now 18% through Donkey Kong Country and its getting really hard. To the part when the rats in the big stone wheels run after you so you have to run through the level to avoid them

edit - ive also managed to beat the computer playing Ryu in hardest mode on street fighter 2 turbo. Took ages but managed it with chun li

If you think that is hard, you wait till you get to some of the later ice levels etc :o

dammit, im up to 'snow barrel blast' now. I can get past it but spinning barrel/wasp part takes all my lives before going onto the level inside the cave with the slippery ice rope things

Why was there never a Street fighter 2 vs Mortal Kombat game made? That would be great. Have the mortal kombat players all looks how they normally do and same damage effects, sounds etc, mixed with street fighter 2 turbo graphics and sounds.

X-men vs street fighter was amazing on arcade

how much did you pay OP ?

£55 inc. I mainly wanted it for good selection of games. I have since bought 2 official pads, donkey kong country, super tennis and street fighter 2 turbo
(costing £20)

£75 for an old console some might say is stupid money. Donkey kong alone i have already played for about 10 hours. Then theres all the mario kart, super tennis and street fighter tournaments

33% of Donkey kong now complete. Still loving this game, its really hard but not impossible (like some pc games) ...up to 'poison pond' on the industrial levels part

I'll ask what I asked in the master system thread :-

Can I ask you guys why you choose to play the original console when you can get run an emulator on the xbox, providing you own the original roms, have much better gfx output like rgb scart or 480p and anti-aliasing, tonnes of other features like in game saves and get to play them on a much better joypad?

I had a snes emulator with mario kart rom and ran on laptop through to tv and ps1 pads. Its not quite the same. There was a slight delay and the graphics would mash up and random things happen sometimes. Plus the fact you can turn on a console and its straight in, no messing around with save states, setting up rom directories, setting graphics etc, and thats after you have actually powered on the machine to the emulator window.

Not really expensive to say ive had many hours out of it already. When donkey kong is (if it is) completed i will buy donkey kong country 2

Setting savestates and rom directories only has to be done once. Do agree with the plug and play though. Plus when you have an emulator with 2000+ games on them they do seem to lose there value and I only end up playing a game for 4 mins before swtiching to another.

Those 2000 cartridges you have must take up quite some space!

finally completed donkey kong country! not too happy it said i was 42% through the game, then gang plank galleon was the end.

Great game, will have to buy DKC 2
