Just bought Advance Wars DS

Spent about 30mins on it so far. looks like this is gonna be an addictive game!

this is the first ive played in the series and its pretty damn good! i aint got much time to play tonight but im gonna hammer it tomorrow

on first impressions i recommend this game to anyone, i can see it taking many hours up

Good choice, though the GBA versions are superior.

Im really liking Advance Wars DS, some of the battles are quite hard, especially when your fighting on both fronts, its my first Advance Wars experience and I doubt it will be my last.

Yeah its tricky, im on the 8th mission where they first have piperunners, i keep getting my ass kicked. whats a good tactic?

Is that the one with the single piperunner, and three narrow routes between top and bottom?

Use a tank to get the 'runner as quickly as possible, send men to the right immediately, and then block up the bridges when you can. If you can keep them off the middle base, and get the buildings to the right you should be fine, it's just that inital period that can be trouble. You can use rockets to take out the piperunners too, since I think they have a longer range.
