No problems with mine in over 14 months and still a pile of games to work through before the deluge starts next week. I'd rather have the risk of the console going faulty and LOADS of games to play than sitting around watching films waiting for the future to happen. After all it didn't hurt the PS1 or 2's success before they were updated.
