I saw one in the flesh in Australia and fell in love with it. Its absolutely huge and reaks of quality. Will be orgasmic with Mame32.

Been after one for a while but they are quite expensive, just found it a bit cheaper and caved in even though im skint :o

Anyone got\used one?
What ya reckon?:)

Thats impressive, just sit it on your pc desk im assuming? It'd break your bones in your legs it looks that big so putting it on your lap is out :p

Be excellent to build your own cabinet now and have a 'oldish' PC sitting in there just running MAME.

I want one now!

no...... but ive always wanted one! but i could never justify the expense
so i ended up converting my old sega saturn arcade stick for pc use its good but i still want an x-arcade!

i have to break it to you from personal experience and knowledge in the field of arcade sticks. (bear in mind this is from the point of view of the hardcore fighter player) the x-arcade sticks are one of the worst sticks you can buy for the money, mainly down to the awful lag in the response time of movement and button pushes. I noticed it when i was using mine, so decided to reap up on them. My suspicions were confirmed, as they do in fact have a very bad response time/delay, which when playing competitively any beat em up, will create serious disadvantages. If you are willing to spend this much on a stick, then i presume you take fighters at least semi-seriously. Any stick made by hori will be superior in every way. The response time would be as fast as you'd expect it to be, and because hori are japanese, they use the ball and shaft sticks as opposed to the american 'bat' sticks like in the x-arcade which are not nearly as good to grip and control. On hori sticks, you will get convex bottons which are more responsive than the concave kind on your x-arcade. If you can find one on ebay, the 'namco stick' is one of the best sticks ever made for coonsole use. The very best stick is the hori real arcade pro which is quite expensive. It is the only consumer arcade stick that comes pre built with a 'sanwa' stick which are the xact same sticks used in japanese arcade cabinets.

Well I really dont think it will matter for the useage im going to be giving it:) Ive not read about any lag problems from users, I think you might just be a bit Hardcore dude:D Fair play to you. Horses for courses and all.

I must admit im not a huge fan of the bat type sticks. I will be replacing them with stainless steel\Alloy ball types if thats possible (I presume they unscrew from the actual joy stick unit bit)

If I was going to get a better unit I'd go for a silk stick

had my one nearly 2yrs now not used very much hang onto your receipt they have really long warranties. Had no problem with lag on mine. Did however have problems moving the stick diagonally up to the right duff sensor so had to get a replacement, next one also didnt work properly so took it apart an moved the microswich into a btr position and it works fine
