Professionals don't buy £250 worth of shares.

And both you and the other didn't get it if you thought I was talking about £250. I was quite clearly mocking the stock brokers who spread rumours to manipulate the stock market.

i use www.iii.co.uk, simple and straightforward and £10 a trade. no minimums etc. Do it all online.
Bought some RBS shares 2 weeks ago @ 26p and also some in GWP (a pharmaceuticals company, 77p). Easy to track it in my account but tbh, i'm not even bothering to look at the prices daily/weekly etc as it's a long term investment for me.
Had Standard Life ones also since launch and they are down about 20% but not bothered as i don't need the money so will just leave them just now as it's a paper loss until you actually cash them in.
