yup, don't you know a nice expensive aluminium case makes your computer faster? i mean it doesn't cool any better and due to being much thinner and lighter than steal actually vibrates more and lets more sound through so are almost always noisier, but who cares about that?

:p

unless its a lan rig that you move every other weekend, big fat steel heavy case = quieter and normally cheaper too.

Except the v1200+ is made out of 2mm thick aluminium rather than the usual 0.7mm steel and his case is already made of 0.8mm aluminium... so it would be a huge improvement ;)

Oh, and probably looks a hell of a lot nicer than yours :p

i like my case ;)

it has a nice big window in the side that lets me see the totally chaotic mess of cables i have in there. my cable management skills are very bad to say the least :p but before anybody says it, i have pulled them out of the way of the main airflow!!

Certainly impressive. As mentioned above that will be tight, but if it fits it fits, and as long as you're not relying on wind tunnel air flow to keep that quad-core cool you'll probably be fine.

Also as mentioned the PSU is overkill, but heck, it'll still be decent when 600w+ become mandatory for a gaming rig.

I'm sort of surprised you went with only 2 gigs of ram given that everything else is so horredously high-spec, but I suppose you can always upgrade to 4 when it actually makes a difference.

agree, ive tested numerous times to see if i can actually gain any advantage from 2-4gigs of ram, and nope, not a single time has my pc ever wanted more than the full 2. so 4gig is very much pointless until (if you ask me) quad cores become more stream line and used more often.

A great machine... but wasted on the 20" TFT I'd say

I would have to agree here tbh.

It certainly looks a fantastic spec but the resolution of the 20.1 monitor is hardly going to stress it in terms of grunt for games.
