Just Brought A House!!!!!!!

Just got the phone call that is going to change our lives.

Put the offer in last week, it was a repo so its in a bit of a mess, only cosmetically hopefully though.

Any advice/help etc please post cos im completely in the dark on what to do, any colour suggestions or cheap websites to get furniture/paint/accessories as apparently i am in charge of the soft furnishings which means the bedroom is going to be purple (yeah)

Yeah, i had my offer accepted back in mid december. Im finally due to complete early next month. In total, it wouldve taken 5 months. Normally properties tend to take 2-3 months to complete, but the vendor in my situation seems a bit disorganised.

Personally i believe in decorating slowly, if u plan to live in the house. There shouldnt be any real rush and i think it would be an idea to do one room at a time. This way its not too stressful on you or your finances.

Its a repossesion so the company want to complete within 28 days hopefully. gonna do it one room at a time i think. most inportant thing at the mo is a shower it only has a bath so gonna get that in first

Got it through the estate agent, got the solicitor, sorting out mortgage at weekend although financial advisor has said its just paper work to do, there will be no problems there.
