I dont know if this is in the right section but i couldnt find anywhere else to fit the post into, sorry.

Anyway i've been getting random BSOD during playing a game, in particularly GTA5. It doesnt happen often but it has happened multiple times now that its starting to bug me.

I was literally just playing GTA, no more than 1hr and then a BSOD out of nowhere.

I managed to get a picture of it:

After it booted again, checked event viewer and took this picture:

Can somebody help me, I dont really know what i really need to be looking for. Nor do i know how to open and look through a .dmp file.

I can upload the .dmp file if someones willing to have a quick look at it.

Thank you.

What's you full system spec and are you overclocking at all?

It could be that GTA V is stressing your system harder than anything else you have and is causing a problem when nothing else does.

I've had the WHEA Uncorrectable Error as a result of an unstable overclock or faulty RAM. from what I recall, 0x124 is one of the more common BSOD codes.

You can try BluescreenView (it's free) to see what crashed.

Picture not working for me, so I can't really help - the main thing about BSOD's are the code you get. Usually a lot of 0's and then some digits at the end. These guide you to what is the problem.

Are you only getting the BSOD errors while playing this game? Try running some benchmarks and stress testing tools such as Prime to see if you get the same error. If you don't then it has to be something with the game. Try un-installing, update your drivers then then reinstall.

Don't forget to check the event viewer too, is the error Software, system or application? Use EventID.net to get all the information you need.

Windows is pretty good at providing all the information you need as to what's causing the error. The problem is people have always panicked thinking their PC is about the self combust and explode ;)

Ahh that is one of the worst codes to get, not because it is potentially serious but it's a Windows 'general hardware' fault. Doesn't really help you to narrow it down.

Just to clarify, I'm not the one with the BSODs. I just commented to say that when the links worked a week ago, the OP's post showed a 0x124 code.

I would like to know what board/spec the OP has as well and whether they solved the issue.
