Just Cause 2 - am I missing something?

Erm if your JC2 playsession consists of walking from point A to point B with no deviation, then you're doing it wrong.

Youre meant to go from point A to point B but along the way, scale a cliffface, parachute from the cliff, swoop down and jump seamlessly onto a motorbike, drive over the guy you hijacked etc etc etc

You can play it as a simple story game but if youre doing that, the game isn't meant for you in the first place.

For me it was just a massively fun game. It plays like a b-type movie, and I really like that. Visually it is very impressive, especially considering how well it runs. Some good humor in there too.

Don't be silly, you parachute UP the cliff, then float down and land on top of a car, then get off and grapple a passing motorcyclist off his bike, drive off, then get bored after 15 seconds and parachute+grapple drag yourself the rest of the way.

Why, because it has a big environment? What's the point when it's filled with repetition?

It also doesn't feel alive, it's like the Truman Show with it's pop up cars and people, hence I said it was wooden!

You can play it any way you want, you are not herded into doing things in any particular order, therefore its not linear.
