hey peeps!

Just took my auntie down to asda to do some shopping and my cousin was there in her carrado g60! Ive only been driving for 4 months and my 60bhp ibiza was nothing compared to that thing :eek:

Just thought i'd say, that car blew me away! Me wants :D

what kind of power do those things put out?
 
It WILL be my next car. They are awesome. I want a dark blue g60, soooo good. :D

I'm obviously missing something here with the G60, a friend of mine had one a while back and it can only be described as completely average. He replaced it with a VR6 before long which seemed a lot more potent, before finally giving up with corrado's.
 
this one was bright yellow with black alloys :cool: Its a big deal to me considering the only other cars ive driven is a 1.25 fiesta, 1.9tdi bora and a 1.4 306 lol.
 
ah yea, the other cars you have driven would explain why you found it so exciting to drive :p I find my 95bhp 214 exciting to drive but thats probably due to the fact I drive like a mad man and being new to driving :p

For my 214?, at the moment its £1040 for a year with pass plus but when I hit 18 in two months it goes down to £867 but im paying it monthly till I hit 18 so its £119 a month, :p quite a lot to take in :D

the G60's are good. straighter power line due to the supercharger.

160BHP as std. 500-1000 quid will get you a remap and a smaller pulley though (the smaller the pulley the faster the charger spins FYI)maybe hit 180 if your lucky.

always blowing the seals when you boost them up though.
a charger rebuild is 350-500quid.

a std corrado VR6 is 190ish brake I believe. 2.9 litre in *** corrado 2.8 in the golf.

supprised that they are faster? :)
 
Yea just thought it was a lot more powerful then that! Went in a 377bhp evo 6 when i worked as a mechanic, didnt drive it but was in the passenger seat. The g60 felt almost as fast but i suppose it felt like that because i was driving ;)

Don't know why my ibiza costs so much, 1.4 engine Y-reg. But then agen its got the alloys, air con, lekky windows etc :)

I have alloys for £21 extra and have lekky windows and mirrors and stuff too, mine is 91 though :p who are you with?
 
My dad has a fondness for large German estates with big engines and four rings on the grille...

Three days after I passed, we were going to a local autotest. Then he stopped, opened the door and said 'you drive for a bit.'

NEVER have I been so timid in applying the right pedal as I was then.
