If I were to buy a mx5 I would probably get the 1.8 and turbocharge it or just swap in a rotary turbo 13b
yep because swapping in the rotary is just such a simple job :/

i think i might "just" go blue tack a SBC v8 into my 205 daily driver should be a nice easy swap

and not being funny to this guy but 170bhp whp/tonne
there are VERY VERY few cars that you could even insure at your age to be driving them on the road with that sort of power

I was doing those conversions in my free time when I was 11 mate. These days I convert my shoulder blades to run off Veyron engines when I'm bored on my lunch break at work.

ahh sorry I'm not familiar with the G40. I did drive a little hatcback 1.8T in hawaii once...it was completely stock and was indeed peppy but seemed to have no top-end. I would imagine that with a larger turbo the car could be decently fast.

....and I have 1 friend in Oregon who has a 13b swapped Miata...haven't been in it but apparently it runs a high 13 second quarter mile..not too shabby. It's probably a little work to swap in but not as much as a f20c from a s2000, which is becoming increasing popular as a miata swap in the states.

as for where I've driven cars throughout my life...I'm californian so got my permit at 15....I drove around a 1993 Prelude Si 2.3 liter back then, a very nice car with decent grunt but again, no top end :( ..

Anyway I've had my license for 7 years now and have driven quite a few cars around over the years.
