Hi,
I just formatted my PC, am running Asus A8V Deluxe Mobo with A64 3500+ CPU. No overclocking as yet, however my CPU temperature has jumped to around 80C with 100+ under stress, whereas it used to average around 40...

Settings are as:
Voltages:
+11.551V +12V
+4.999V +5V
+3.328V +3.3V
+1.712 +Vcore

CPU Temp: Approx. 80C
Mobo Temp: Approx . 23C

Fans:
CPU: 3200RPM
Power: 1700RPM
Chassis Fan: 2000RPM

I'm thinking that the CPU fan may be operating a bit slowly, is there any way I could speed it up. Otherwise the +12V voltage is looking a little low...

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Sounds like ACPI problem, with that vcore I would think so. I had 9V and 120 degres for vcore once, ACPI was yellow exclamation marked out. Deleted it, rebooted, redetected and shows correct figures. Look in device manager and spot for anything marked out.

Have you restarted? What does your BIOS report CPU and VCORE temp at? If it's 1.350-1.4v and 30-38 degrees that's normal....just windows ACPI isn't installed correctly.

Well I'll get back to you on that in a sec, however if i put my hand near the heatsink, it's equivalent to the Asus Probe readings. Also the memory sticks are getting a bit hot due to their proximity.
