Just got a 32Gb Touch...tips?

Hi.
Just got back from Holland and brought back a completely un-needed pressie for myself in a 32Gb Touch. :p.

Few questions though:

The USB cable for it, how do i remove it from the touch without it feeling like im damaging the touch?
My 60Gb 5g USB cable has two buttons that i press in to release the notches on the connector, but the cable for this touch has no such mechanism?


Any good apps for it around?

Any other tips?

So just yanking it out is fine then?

Quite pleased with it thus far.
Its taken me all of 10mins to set it up with my 'phone' gmail account and with my WiFi here.

Tbh, for my uses, its completely pointless for me.
My 60Gb was doing me fine for my mostly 15-20min journeys in my car.
But i had some money to burn, and the 32Gb one looked nice. :p.

Got a leather belkin case for it when i bought it from the airport, came with a screen protector. Unfortunatelly, im useless with screen protectors, so it looks a bit dodgy. :p.

As you can see, it looks like the OS on there nicks 2Gb off us for caching/the OS itself.

Dunno.
From what ive read, all it allows me to do is add new apps and change the default 'theme'.
Which, for the amount of usage it'll get, and the probable faff with re-syncing my media each time new firmware comes out, im not sure if its worth the effort or not.
I'll see how it goes tbh. With the headphone connector on the bottom of the player, my first concern is how im gonna neatly mount it in my car. I might have to buy a car mount for it...?

I cant. I have two cup holders in front of the gear stick on my car. I did have my iPod 60Gb in one, with my FM transmitter in the other.
Unfortunatelly, short of having the iPod Touch upside down, its gonna get messy. :(.

How much do you lot think i could get for my iPod 60Gb? w/ headphones and neoprene case? A few of my mates are interested in buying it off me.

Just tryed it with my Touch upside down, works suprisingly well, with the forward/back/play buttons being so large. :p.
Dont think i'll bother with a new cradle for it. :).
 
Got £15 to spend on iTunes.
Just spent half of that on the new HotChip album. Want to buy some videos.
Suggestions?
Got £7.01 left.

The Paramount comedy stuff seems good value?
 
Ive just downloaded videora ipod converter, and its just converting 8 videos for me.

Think i might leave the extra iTunes credit in there, in case i feel the urge to buy on the move. :p.

Gotta admit, i was pretty impressed by it.
It was quick to get to 100% per song, then it took about 10-20 seconds extra, presumably to save it, or check it over or whatnot.
Still quite good though.
 
Im having a few problems with iTunes.
Ive re-classifyed a load of music videos that were previously classed as movies, to be classifyed as 'music videos' and they've completely disappeared from itunes?

Ideas?
 
Is it just or, or are screen protectors a right pain to put on, on any device?
Mine allways go on ever so slightly wonkey, with airbubbles that wont disappear, or with dust under them! :(.

Ive gotta admit, i really like this Touch. Seeing as MMS can be added with a jailbreak app and my complete lack of use of my N95's camera, think i'd be very tempted to get an iPhone when 32Gb+ ones come out.
My main bug-bear was the text input, but its pretty good when your used to it. :).


On a different note, iTunes crashed for me last night, saying that it could see my iPhone but couldnt talk to it...even though i have a touch! lol.
As i suspected, the touch & iphone are 90% the same at the hardware and software level. :p.
 
Bit late now! lol.

It was along the lines of:
"iTunes has detected an iPhone, but cannot communicate with it, please restart your device and re-connect".
 
CX300s are the best bang for buck imo. :).
Great for the price.


Does anyone know if theres a way to save pictures from emails

why i can access the internet through the wifi at work, but not the googlemail, even though i can access the googlemail through my laptop at work?

I allways use the credit card trick.
Problem is that i allways get dust or rubbish under the screen, and i keep thinking i can get it out and back on. Never do though. :p Allways ends up looking a right mess. :p
 
Ive broken it. :(.

I was playing with it and split a drink over it.
Only a tiny amount of liquid got on it due to the case, but it was enough to break it. :(.
The backlight on the screen it knackered, and the touch screen occasionally doesnt work.

I take it that as ive had it for such a short time, i can take it to an Apple shop for an exchange?
