Does this matter?
I've done a bit of reading and apparently the newest Intel drivers are now quite good to use with an SSD.
I'm not even sure which drivers the Gigabyte ones use tbh, I suppose the generic MS ones.
I'm going to be setting up Win7 on it tonight. Which one should I use? The reason I'm asking is that I have 2 x mechanical storage drives that I use and also a DVD, and if I set AHCI in the BIOS, will this affect those too? I could have those on one controller and the SSD on the other, as I can set AHCI or SATA/IDE independently on the two controllers. The ICH9R has 6 ports, the Gigabyte one has 2.
Thanks
