Just got back into vintage Hi fi, anyone else here also?

Not quite full vintage. An amp from 1996 (Denon PMA-255UK) and a CD player (Denon DCD-660) from around 1991 I think. I actually sold my Denon RCD-M38DAB mini system and bought these for £20 each. They sound great. I know everyone goes on about vinyl, but I've taken out my hundreds of CDs from the garage and it's something else to play them on a real CD player (rather than ripping and streaming) and show the kids what it's really all about to listen to a album rather than a play list.

I've got a Rotel RA-820AX amp arriving for comparison. Maybe I'll get a NAD 3020 too to see what all the fuss is about.

and now I've got another interest that'll upset the missus!

Worth it just for this! :p

I got my hi-fi down from the loft at the beginning of the year. Its not full retro (like yours) but it was a pioneer model that I think more or less last had the cassette tape deck with cd-player before everything went over the top digital!

I have a mixture of vintage hifi, 80s/90s era. Nad 3130 amp, Technics SLP 111 cd player, Aiwa AD-F 260 cassette deck, Dual 503-2 turntable, Tannoy 633 floor standing speakers.

I also inherited my Dad's hifi from the 70s, mixture of Sony and Toshiba components. Not used them for years though, turntable is a beast mind!

Sony PS 4750 (borrowed image from net for reference, my one is boxed in the attic)
