Just got caught speeding, anyway I can avoid points?

36mph up here will normally get you the course mate. Its the cut off speed so you are lucky :) Ive got a friend who goes through all the nips and sends them out etc. I asked her as i got done doing 38mph just before xmas doh. :)

Maybe you can get her to make sure if say I slip her a £20 lol. (I seriously would if thats all it took hah)

Thanks for the info. Pity about the notices, but that's the price you pay, I guess.

On the plus side, if the car behind was tailgating then they were probably going the same speed as you and therefore they got caught too, right? :D

I fear he might have got away with it, because he tried to undertake me, noticed the camera same time as me and slammed the breaks :(
 
when I first started driving, the road to and from work ( 1231 washington - sunderland) had roadworks and was limited from 70mph to 30mph.

The amount of pressure other drivers put on you is silly! I could not believe the amount of people flashing, overtaking, beeping etc at me as I seemed to be the only person doing the right thing :/

Obviously, yes you did speed... but I do feel sorry for you with some idiot behind you like that :(

I just logged onto the website they provide where you can view some of the details, it has 2 pics of my car, on the unzoomed one you can see the driver crossing into the left hand lane to undertake me lol

Not sure I should be showing this but what the hell...

Depends how long the laser has to be on the person, he was right up my arse on that shot then moved out, as soon as he got into the lane he slammed the breaks and went to 30 like me once I noticed, I probably would have noticed the camera earlier if the git wasn't behind me as I just looking at him angryly lol.

Where are you based? In scotland not signing the NIP still gets you off with it more times than you get done. If your in england your stuffed I recon, if in doubt consult a lawyer though.
 
Just to let everyone know I have been invited to attend a speed awareness course, you can attend as long as you have below 8 points and obviously not been in the last 3 years, I was doing 36mph.
 
They flag you for doing just 36?

What's the flag maximum before they send out a letter ?

Round these parts the road go from 40 to 30 back to 40 again like a yoyo so it's very hard at times to stay at a set speed!
