Just got G.SKill 4GB DDR1000 -have an issue!

Ok RAM is at 978MHz now, took the CPU to 367FSB to give 3.3GHz - I could not get 3.2GHz before the BIOS flash and I guess a combo of new BIOS and better RAM means I can - awesome stuff!

Going to try running mine beyond ddr1000 later, with the 4:5 divider it will be running around 1060 MHz. wonder how well that will work if at all!
Think I'm going to have to look at getting cl4 timings at ddr850.

Reckon it would be better with CL4 timings at slower MHz? I always thought more Mhz = better!

In theory it should work out the same performance. Going to go for the higher speed for e-peen

If it is a FAT file system that is needed, does that mean it will read my external?

My P5KC reads anything with FAT or standard CD file system, even my USB card reader is visible by EZFlash in the Bios if I put the BIOS on a 1GB CF card
