Not entirely interesting.. just installed CS3 on a fresh install!

Usually have Firefox, VLC, Transmission and Stuffit Expander on the doc

Indeed, the icons for CS3 seem rather plain but in a nice way :)

I got mine at a bargain price from college. Wahey! :p

Not installed Dreamweaver or InDesign though.

Edit: Well worth getting over CS2 imo. Panoramic merge is hawt now. :)

Oh for gods sake I just got CS2  lol :D

Panoramic merge the new HDR? lol

I think the icons are ok and would look good if they were the only icons on the dock, its just when next to others they look *blah*

Anyway i quite like these as a replacement http://www.artofadambetts.com/weblog/?p=190 :D

You think they are OK? I think they are hideous, premium software and adobe comes out with a square gradient and two letters. That is irrelevant now that Adam made some cracking CS3 box like icons! :D

Though for some that like the coloured ones, KoL made some juicy glossy versions. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/54340716/ They look quite nice.

Any idea how the suite performs on PPC Macs?

Much snappier than CS2. It no longer feels clunkier compared to CS2, it feels like a lightweight.

My bro has a copy running on a 'what seems like' an old 17" iMac G5 and it runs nicely, so I wouldn't let it put you off if you have a PPC Mac :)

I'm on a 1.9Ghz 17' iMac G5 and it runs great. It is in fact quicker than CS2, so although there's a lot of hype about the speed up on intels, there's a still a slight increase for ppc (just not as dramatic).
