My Sky (non fibre) BB was activated yesterday, so I plugged in the SR101 box they provided and it's totally unsuitable for my use.
My home (giga) network is (or rather was) set up with remote WoL and remote access to my NAS (with sabnzbd installed), and it ran exactly how I wanted it.
Unfortunately plonking the Sky hub in the middle of it all has decimated my network, especially if I want to do anything remotely.
I've set up all the new services on the hub, allocated fixed IPs on the network to my NAS and PC (and also set these up within the NAS and PC themselves), then forwarded all the relevant ports, aaaaaand.... nothing.
I can't even access sabnzbd from within the network, in fact the only thing I can access from within the network reliably is the Sky Hub, WoL doesn't work at all, and although I can access my NAS UI, it'll only let me via a hard connection, trying to access via a wifi connection (i.e. my phone or tablet) draws a total blank.
Luckily my old router is a Billion 7800N, so I can go about trying to set that up, although getting the username and password out of the SR101 is quite a ballache.

I just really wanted to ask if there's anything anyone can think of that I might not have tried, that could fix these issues, in case I don't have any luck setting up the Billion?

Thanks in advance!

Getting the username/password isn't much of a hassle, takes about 5-10mins probably. Just do that.

I set my 7800N up on Thursday last week, pretty straight forward.

Cheers, I don't suppose you have the details you used (minus your username and pw obviously)?
I've seen a few different configurations, and it's not always clear if the ones I've seen are for fibre or ADSL!

Oh, and have you tried tinkering with the SNR for better speed?
I was getting 7mb on my old O2 connection, but atm I've started on 4mb with Sky (although they have said it should creep up over the next 10 days as they test the stability of the line).

I think I used the pdf guide here:

http://routerconfig.me/legacy/sky/

The one ending 'v2'!

Then installed the 1.06h firmware from the Billion site, here:

http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/...Article/View/322/79/bipac-7800n-firmware-106h

Then it was just a matter of adding the username/password I got from the Sky router into the 'ClientID' field, can't remember specifics of this part, except that I tried to do it in 'advanced' mode and there seemed to be some validation on the front-end which wouldn't let me do it, so make sure you don't click 'Advanced' in the left menu before trying to configuring the WAN interface.
