Just had a call and my new speakers have arrived for collection

Nice price, Ive got a full set of Tannoy Revolution speakers and I dread to think how much they cost me over the years.
Im using an MJ Acoustics reference 100 Mk2 Sub that I would recommend to anyone and cant see me ever changing.

Actually Ive just been looking at the BK range and thought they look like the MJ Acoustics stuff :), and yes they look to be better value.

Quick question, where did you get your speakers from Easy? Tempted to take a listen to those floorstanders if the price is right, you can never have too many nice speakers to audition if the price is right! As with mofei earlier, email in trust if its a competitor in some way.

Add me to msn:)

Monolith-DF, you know you want to ;)

Now, just find as good a bargain on a V1800 and you can join the club :p

That's where your bargain finding skills come in ;)

Worth a shot :p Guess you want something black?

Great price for some quality speakers.
As for a sub you have to get a monolith df only option under £500 worth considering, you have quite a big room if it were me id make it fit or use it as a table.

The DF soes look good.

The XLS300 MK2 looks good too.:)

I reckon you'd be happy with either. Have an ask on avforums about the room size and the Tannoys to make your decision. Make sure you order an spl meter with it as you'll need one to set it up and find the best location.

By the way I bought a Denon AVR-1909 the other day as they were going for £300 and I couldn't resist at that price. If you can still get one for £300 I'd recommend one highly and you can put the money you save towards the sub. I didn't expect it to sound as good as my older, more powerful Pioneer but I'm really pleased at how crisp and detailed the sound is.

They should sound excellent and that's a cracking deal.

Quick question - What's custom about the Tannoy's?

I've been using a set of the earlier MX-M series for about 5 years (MX3-M Front, MXC-M centre and MX1-M at the back) and can't say a bad word about them. Think I paid about £350 for the set and that was a special bundle offer. I then found my old Pro-Logic amp didn't have enough grunt to power them, so blew another £300 on a new Amp.

I'm been looking at a BK XLS200 for a couple of years now, don't think the neighbours would appreciate it tho as I live in a block of apartments...

Not sure whats custom about them TBH:o:p

As for the BK XLS200 they do get beefy reviews!:D

when its all set up, let us know how the Tannoy's sound. I'm currently using a Yammy Sound projector as its missus friendly, but when we do the living room up next year I will get a proper amp and surround sound. Assumed I was looking at least at £500-£600 for half-way decent speakers.

I thought exactly the same

Will do,

You have to remember that the F4's did retail at 399 a pair.

I couldn't belive I got the whole set for so little :D
