Just had an SOS from my clan mate at Uni

He's just started at Cardiff University and he cant access steam/xfire/ventrilo etc.

Is there anyway he can scan his ports to see which are open?

If theyre closed could we then create a proxy around them to a server I have sat next to me?

You could, maybe, just ask. Would seem like the reasonable thing to do.

Anything else, if caught, will likely get you a disciplinary. Nice way to start the new term there.
