Just had my fiirst bike crash...my fault

These things happen mate. At least you walked away. Did pretty much the same thing in my 1st year of biking. Flew right over the car in front!

With regards to the frame and forks, It is actually suprisingly easy to bend the frame around the headstock. When I did it, which was about the same speed as you the forks were fine but the headstock was bent. Easy way to check is to look at the clearance from front wheel to radiator. Mine was that bad when I braked and the wheel would rub on the radiotor. Bike was a 1996 Kawasaki ZX6R. I had to get the frame straightened on a jig.

So I started fixing the beast.

Front forks and a lot of other stuff off :) new forks on with front wheel.

Then quickly took it up and down my road to see if it rides in a straight line when you let go of the handle bars and it does :)

Sorted, I'll take a photo of the bent forks tomorrow. :)

All I need now to get her back on the road is Front brake lever, new handle bar and foot pegs :)

I am just looking at some brand new MX footpegs

Are all footpegs really got different mounting?

They all look the same to me but they specify them for different bikes....I think it's more colour than anything ells

I had 2 minor crashes so far - few bruises from first, badly swollen ankle and a broken finger on my left foot from second. Nothing major. Couldn't wait to get back on the road the second time around. :)
You'll be ok, mate. Just keep on throttling, don't let it get you down. ;)
