Just how rife is CSS hacking on VAC secure servers?

i was told i get headshots too easily the other day.. all i can say is point blank range with the m4 isn't hard for 3 people to go down in one spray

paranoia rules css, ive seen a couple of speed hax... and 1 mate installed some aimbots (and promptly got his account banned) but thats about it, if i have been witness to any others they have been very subtle and i just mistaked it for skills... which i dont mind as it gives me a challenge

i usually have a ping of around 5..... i wouldnt consider having 10meg broadband a hack tho

As long as you're using the correct rates for the server type and connection, you're not doing anything wrong.

Personnaly I like nothing more than going on a server full of noobs and getting at stupidly high score to the sound of "**** Haxor" " Cheating *******" "hes wall hacking, I saw him"

I normaly encourage them to take a demo so they can show some admin how good I am

and then get told to shout up and stop wasting peoples time. Its just one of the many joys of cs.

DaveyD's estimate is about right but theres no replacement for a good admin'd server. Rate hacking is far more common but on a good server, the server will reset everyones rates every round and restrict the values settable.

I dont play CSS as much because of all the lag and stutter problems, Valve seems to think this is ok but no other game requires so many console commands and config setups just to play a normal game, never used to be like that either

Dunno about hackers but the admins made me stop playing. The just 'coz I beat them I'm cheating attitude doesnt rub well with me.

Theres not many tbh mate. When ever i play (which isnt often anymore) there are just rate hackers not actual hackers, they're quite rare really on secure servers.
