Just moved in, washing machine not working

Just a faint humming noise is the fill valve, sounds like a kinked hose or isolator off, what make is it?

It's a CDA Ci925. It may well be a kinked hose, but i'm not comfortable with pulling it out, I can pull the machine out a bit but then it gets very tough and I don't want to risk it. I get the feeling my dishwasher will have the same issue as it still had the manual in it when we bought the place.

So I think I found the correct location! However, I have turned the attached images, both ways and still no water enters the washing machine. Water works find everywhere else! I've just turned them that way to test, I understand that shouldn't work? They were in the other position before taking this photo. That other tap is in our airing cupboard. The little blue tap is what I presume the one to the washing machine, as the washing machine is located on the left outside of the picture.

the ball valve going to the washer is off in the bottom pic the little blue it needs to be turn so its flowing with the pipe... Both the valves in the bottom picture are off actually

Bowey he's had them both ways :)

Belloni I don't know much about cda we sometimes do their wine coolers, old coals will probably know more. Don't think they have in house servicing but outsource it, usually kinked hose is deemed chargeable as not an appliance fault.

CDA do their own servicing but they use a third party too, we do work for the third party.

Any call is chargeable when there is no fault with the machine, e.g a plumbing issue.

I would pull out the machine and check for a hose because that is the first thing I would do if there was no water going into the machine.]

As Mr. Cookie says the solenoid valve is more than likely working if you can hear it buzzing.

Hmmm ok, well we're complaining to our solictors/estate agents because when we bought the flat, no where was mentioned that the white goods don't work. I am definitely not footing the bill to get someone out to fix it. Will let you all know! Fantastic help as always guys :)
