Just order this ...

Congrats on your buy :)

I've got x2 Vertex Turbo's on order, perhaps we can compare results once our systems are running ?

Nice, just ordered 2 x Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB, I'm still running ICH9R Chipset (IP35 Pro) so it will be good to do some comparisons.

Got a single vertex here and all i can say is you guys are about to feel the power of SSDs, they are without dought the biggest upgrade you can make for system proformnce. Just make sure you do all the optimazation. OCZ forums are a good place to head even if you dont have a ocz ssd. Plus some guy has now released a tool that dose all the normal stuff (disable suerfetch ect) automaticaly saving you time !

I'm feeling it already, I run a 64GB Samsung SSD just now but moving to the Vertex Turbo's in RAID as an upgrade.

That tool your talking of is very very good, takes the hassle out of the tweaking thats involved.

Lovely, I just installed a G.Skill Falcon 128GB myself, no raid though. Absolutely flies in Windows 7, incredibly responsive. I won't even try and describe it, because you will find out for yourself when you get your new SSD's :) ...you wont be disapointed though, at least I can't imagine you will be.

I had cancel it this morning. Cos, I changed me mind, I rather wait until end of the year to buy a fastest SSD.

But then there will be faster ones after those that you will have to wait for.........and then faster ones after those......how long you gonna wait?

you don't know that because you don't know what he does with it :p
whereas there's generally one thing you get an ssd for, and that's OS snappiness, I suspect far fewer people buy ssds for fast file transfers than buy i7s for video encoding :)

And you dont know what people buy 2 SSD's for, stop guessing, assuming and generalising.

new 60gb for vista 64 gb

well I bought one 64 gb OCZ Agility Series 60GB 2.5" using 64 bit Vista, noticed the entry into windows then to the end off programs loading in is very much faster than my 2 raid 0 320 gb, iam using my raid 0 "ie drive e:" as the installation off programs, games etc space is and issue for that drive atm about 20 gb left on the ssd so next year 2 128 gb ssd in raid 0 that will be sorted :-)
