Just placed an order for the case, feel a bit sick now, £200..why couldnt I have a cheaper hobby! I still need to buy a new radiator, anyone know if a 120.3 will fit in this, I know 120.2 will. always place orders on the weekend got to wait untill monday/tuesday now :(

Hi matey,
It is a great deal of case to splash out on a case but I did it, and have no regrets. Great case!

I've got a single 2 x 120 rad in the bottom. I've removed one of the hard drive cages, put the pump where that used to be and the rad is next to that/ behind the PSU. Works a treat. You will be able to fit a 3 x 120 in the top but you'll have to create some sort of adapter to the mesh as it comes with 2 x 120mm fans in the top as standard. You'll be able to fit a 3 x 120 at the bottom but you would have to take out both hard drive cages.

If you need any other info let me know.

Cheers

Thanks for the info mate, are the hdd cages rivited or can they easily be removed? Also what the fans like that come with the case, they adequate to cool the rad or should I get some higher CFM fans? I will prob get PA120.2 or .3 but then the thermochill I have right now isnt all that great... any rads u reccomend? I not gonna have high flow fans prob up to 70 CFM max cus I hate the noise.

No probs.
There is a metal bracket screwed to the bottom of the case and the HDD cage slots on top of this. It's dead easy to remove the cage and you just unscrew the bracket.

The fans are "quiet" silverstone ones, no idea who makes them but the 120's are very very quiet but don't push much air. You def need to get some fans that'll cool the rad sufficiently. I've still got the ones the case came with on my 2 x 120 rad and it's not enough, keeps the temps ok but won't allow much overclocking... I need to get some new ones

In terms of rads, I always go with black ice. The Extreme III is the one to go for if you're after 3 x 120. Costs about £40.00, but worth it.

Are the components in your sig going in this?

Cheers

yeh they are, I'm hoping to get the temps down so I can o/c some more I have had the chip at 3.8ghz but the temps were 55c idle! I have a D5 pump and Apogee block, just need a beter rad, single rad is no way good enough although prehaps the .3 is an overkill? Not sure on the block but cba to change it now.

Well I've got an E6700, 7950GX2 watercooled and I'm using 2 x 120. Temps on the 6700 with the stock silverstone fans never went above 45 (oc to about 3.2) and the 7950 temps pretty much the same never above 45. Should think those temps would be 5 degrees or so lower with proper 120mm fans.

A 3 x 120 will give you lots of headroom (which you may want if majorly oc), especially if you want to upgrade or add something else in the future. The cost difference is minimal (£10-15) tbh so prob worth getting the 3.

Yeh pics would becool, I seen them in reviews but would be intresting too see peoples layouts, epexially if water cooled. I will post my pics when it arrives and I have evrything setup.

Ok guys, since I've given you some info may as well show mine :D

I've got the Liang DDC Plexi top with res mounted next to the single HDD cage, the rad is behind the PSU and some of the pump. Seems to work quite nicely, and keeps the tubing really tidy as there is no seperate res. Blocks are all Danger Den.

wow looks awesome

I measure up to put the rad up top on a pc I made for someone and came to the conclusion that if you're using the thermochill pa rads they are too thick and will almost certainly foul some if not all motherboards.

You're much better off just standing it up in the lower compartment behind the psu.

Awesome cases.

Yeh looks good to me :) what exactly is your cup of tea monkey?! I still undecided between BIX3 rad and PA120.3 the PA costs quitea bit more but then i am going to be using <100 CFM fans and so the PA seems to be the beter choice for 60 odd CFM fans.

are you 100% sure you need a 120.3?

I've had a heavily clocked and volted Pa 570J (the 3.8ghz stock one, iirc the hottest they've ever made) with an x850xtpe in the loop using a black ice pro 120.2 (the pro being much thinner than either the bix or pa series).

The rad wasn't troubled.

Unless you're planning on chucking your chipset, ram and 2 gfx cards in there I'd say the 120.3 is overkill and would probably wind up being more hassle than its worth.

what sort of temp do you get with your rad under load? I might go with the PA120.2 all I am looking to do is o/c the E6400 as much as I can, the chipset wont be w/c and neither gfx card but it might in the future.

You know what.. having looked at Splint's spec you're probably right. A 120.2 will easily cool what he has now so long as he has +50CFM fans.
