Hey guys just ordered myself a C300 64GB SSD from overclockers.

im intending to use it for my main rig (in the sig) but im not sure what applications etc to use it for?

should i install my most used games on the SSD and keep the rest on the hard drive? (keep in mind i have 30+ games on steam and various DVD's with games on)

Or should i just have windows 7 + core apps like word processing etc and thats it and stick everything else on the hard drive?

Thanks for the advice in advance! going from 500GB to 64GB is going to kill me! lol

Windows and as many games as you can fit on the SSD and all the rest on the HDD. I'd put the swap file on the HDD as well because with 8GB of RAM it won't be barely used anyway and you'd be better off with the extra GB's of space on the SSD and also disable hibernation which will also free up a few more GB's.

Good idea, I like it.

Do you reckon I should update the drive firmware before I install the OS?

Definatly as some drives used to wiped the SSD when the firmware was upgraded, i'm not saying yours is like that but better safe then sorry. System restore is another thing worth considering switching off to free up space.
