HD audio is going to work in any case mate, its a case not speakers! There is ports on the motherboard you know.

Im guessin it is down to the wiring, so anycase could be made to use the HD audio ports, with a bit of thinking..

Your loosing it...care to rewire my SUGO?...

Been there done that, had to wire A USB connector pin by pin to a mobo once so I don't mind..and why would I want an Eclipse...UGLY!!!!

thats very true. but that AMMO is stil ugly. Might be a good case as i believe coolmaster do make them but it is really ugly. But each to there own and that.

It's not as ugly up when you see it in person, I think the ecplise is ugly ever since I laid eyes on it back in 2004

Seen the eclipse in person?

Because I have seen both and the Ammo looks a whole lot worse in person.

Of course not but seen both on web and hate the clipse , not the ugliest of cases but still ugly..seen the Ammo in perso and the Lian Li V1000 which looks great, as does the Stacker 830...

You can't judge a case by pictures, how can you get a feel for the quality of the materials used?

Eclipse is a old server case, purely functional and for pure function name a case which is better?

Objectively speaking the Eclipse is currently the best case ever made. Subjectively I hate it.

Wow, what a great promotion, they offer dog tags to sell the case. :p

Still have not said what the HAHA was about?

Coolermaster used to make good cases, but now they have gone downhill on the quality control, and it really does show.

Meansizzler could you please edit out the quoted F word, as Begbo was kind enough to remove it from his original post. Thanks.

sorry i could not see the F word?...if he was kind he would not use it in the first place. how about a slap on the wrist?...

HAHAHA, well was when someoen was comparing the Lanboy size with the sugo size, I doubt the PSU is that cramped in the lanboy compared to the SUGO..it was just to funny, like comparinf an A5 paper with an A4 one...

Why on earth do you care about the HD audio when you're going to be using a soundcard anyway? I'm with Yewen on this - it's a gimmick. If you're a true audiophile, you'd have a hifi set up with a top of the range soundcard (and i/o).

Well the true High end cards as they say the RME Hammerfall and LYNX are not ideal for gaming, I plan to play games so cannot use these cards for that, theyare not ideal games as they have no surround engine...there more for pro audio/stereo use, I have an Audigy 2 ZS but also have a new Intel Viiv Mobo which has the Dobly Digital Live on, similar to the HDA cards/Soundstorm system, so could use that for gaming as multichannel game audio is converted to multichannel dolby digital as passed out via spdif, and the intel board is HD Audio, also removing the Audigy and using on board HD Audio means I get a free PCI slot..well just a thought...

There are different types of HD Audio Codecs, eg Sigmatel/Realtek/Soundmax, and they vary slightly, the Intel HD Audio Standard uses the Sigmatel Codec and features the Multistremaing capabilty...also all the codecs can support the Dolby Digital Live Technology or not, just depends weather the board manufaturer wants to use it..hmmm new thread title...

HD AUDIO for NOOBS!!!

If your running PC speakers than forget mentioning audio quality, especially with Creative cards as the sound they produce is just dire.

Are you going by what other people say or your own pesonal opinion, I like my creative card, coupled with my Logiech Z-5500's they sound great.., just have to tune it to your liking....

A HDA X-Mystique would be a better bet for gaming / sound quality.

Why would I need that when I have the Dolby Digital Encoder built into my Intel Mobo?..they both do the same job, difference is I don't need ot shell out £60 for a soundcard...

your ammo been delivered yet?

tommorow hopefully, at depot now...., anyway just been getting reviews of my NT06 cooler performing against the SI-120 and Big Typhoon, well it's not that bad, sure the other two coolers can lower the temperature my 6 degrees, but i think my NT06 will be fine, should not go over 62 degrees at full load and can expect under 40 degrees idle , currently 60 degrees idle at the moment without the fan on.....hehehe...anway jsut took the fan out of box, it's a BEAST!!!!, it's huge I tell you like 3.5CM thick...well with the side vents on the Ammo it should do a good job at cooling..

Define gaming card?

Supposed FPS increase of 1 from using it?

Any hardware soundcard will remove the load from a CPU, and modern CPU's are so fast it would not impact at all, especially dual cores.

EAX is the only part that could come into it, but to be honest I would prefer the quality and clarity of another brand to Creatives gimmics, stereo upmixing, WHY?!

EAX is a multi channel surround processing mode like dolby, so either the mutlichannel game audio is processed to EAX form and decoded by soundcard or converted to dolby digital stream by DD Live mobo/card and passed to amp to decode..., which one sounds better who knows?...but most of the games seem to favour EAX...and well as for them non gaming cards which cannot support the Latest EAX mode or DD Live well guess your just missing out...Long definition of gaming card huh?...

OK got the case all set up and running, I like it, was able to mount my NT06 in it with fan which was Pointing straight at side air vent, knocks 10 degrees off the CPU temp, down from 62 degrees IDLE to 50, but the cooler is LOUD!!!, can cut it down to 1000 RPM then it's quiet and peaceful, CPU rises to 55 degrees which is not bad, hard drives are around 35-40 degrees, hopefull when the weather gets cooler they will drop to 32..graphics card is 57 degrees idle, pretty much the same as SUGO but the SUGO was great when it cable to expansion card cooling...

I like it, pictures soon, well put the CPU fan down from 2400RPM "45DB" to 1800RPM so I guess it's around 25DB and quiet enough for me..strangely enough CPU temp is 40-45 degrees idle..to low if you ask me, guess the Silver 5 is settling in....
