Just purcashed a Ipod Touch 32g, questions!

Hi guys

How can i tell if it's 2nd or 3rd generation? I'm hoping it's 3rd as I only purchased it today. I've read around and can't find much that is helping me distinguish between the two?

The iPod touch (Late 2009) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. All iPod touch models introduced in Late 2009 have two or three lines of text below the capacity engraving. The prior iPod touch (2nd generation) had four lines of text or more.

Ahhhh, there are 2 lines of text. So 3rd gen?

Mine has 2 lines of text also - can confirm its a 3rd generation.
The chap in the apple store in Cardiff told me so

PS: If you find a hard leather case for it - that DOESNT obstruct any buttons ports (I've trying to return 2 on ebay now due to this) PLEASE let me know
