The difference is amazing. I highly recommend the product to any one who has a raptor, and is fed up with the racket they make.

Or you can go the cheap route and use sewing elastic to suspend the drive in a spare drive bay

I was considering the silentmax but then decided to give the elastic a go. Works like a charm.

My only reservation using elastic would be that it does not passively cool the drive like the silentmax enclosure does.

The cost of using elastic however is very appealing, its taken me weeks to justify £30+ for the silentmax!!

Or you could go for the even better(But stupidly expensive) option of a Smartdrive 2002c enclosure. Shame I need 6 of them though.
