And apparently I'm a sexy lady in Russia who wants me to click a link

I cant figure out how they got in, my account is secure with a complex password and secret questions I barely know the answer to, and I have notifications set for changes to the account, could it be they're using my address as an alias only?

Theres nothing in the sent items either

Probably spoofed your address. I've got a little app I wrote at work that allows me to send and e-mail from our network that 'appears' to come from any name or address I choose.

I mainly use it for playing practical jokes on friends but I could send and e-mail and make it look as if you sent it personally pretty easily (if I knew your address that is).

its a little known fact that e-mail can, on occasions such as a solar-eclipse, be delivered pan-dimensionally. It would appear that you've received a mail from an alternative dimension where your a Russian web-cam lady. Click the link to see how hot you'd be...

Did you have much to drink last night????

What a load of mumbo jumbo "spoofing email" as if!! Its blatantly a message from your future self, and you've had a sex change and moved to russia.

I've honestly never heard of spoofing an address before, and to think I work in IT, never employ me.
Actually a lot of IT people don't have a clue about hacking techniques, or how viruses work, or what firewalls do, in fact frankly a lot know naff all about a lot of stuff they flipping well should know a lot about.

I blame programs that 'fix stuff' when you press a button, it's de-skilled a profession :(
