Just started running

Had another landmark today, i had previously got down to 25 minutes but managed to knock a whole 2 minutes off that time even while putting up with the pain from a bruised rib. Well happy :D. A lot can be said for finding a decent pace.

I used to use that, but now I'm using www.mapmyrun.com which I just find to be a bit slicker.

I use Nathan bottle belts; sinlge for shorter runs and double for long runs (although anything over 3 hours and it has to be a bladder of some description - currently a 2L platypus in a Salomon pack). Nathan's are very comfortable and much better than carrying a bottle as you can forget about it until you need a drink.

I've always run with a bottle in hand and now it feels weird if I don't have one. I've just got myself a Nathan bottle grip today; not a belt but a bit of webbing round the bottle that you put your hand though and it's got a small pocket for keys and such. It's just so I don't have to worry about my keys whilst I'm fumbling in my zip shorts pocket for a gel. In this weather 500ml of water will do me for 21km

Quite fancy getting belt for the summer, but I don't really like changing anything about my runs; I even wear my ipod when I'm running with someone else.

I decided I didn't need extra fluids during a marathon this weekend, so emptied the contents of the bottle I was carrying at the 7 mile stage, all over my left foot! Not that it mattered given the awful weather.

Sounds like good progress CliffyG.
