I have the same board in another system could only get a e2200 to max stable overclock of 2.6 from a stock speed of 2.2.
I`ve read the only way that you can overclock it further is by doing a volt mod or something
i`m currently using a x1950 pro agp card with this board and it runs games at decent settings(apart from Crysis) which i have running at 1680x1050 medium settings running at about 18-23 fps!!
Steve
Contacted Asrock support about the lack of overclocking and they basically said it runs at your stock speed of 2.2ghz so it`s working properly
ugh.. that doesnt sound too good.. well anyway im sure itl be better than my 3.8ghz single core? (will it? :~ ).. could that crap overclock be due to your ram?.. (what stuff have you got?)
Just cheap ddr ram,i have some ddr2 ram coming tm,don't know if that will be any better.
I know on some Asrocks i have had,you can set fsb maybe to 290-300 and it will boot up and then fail Orthos after about 30 minutes, but on this if i go above fsb of 242 it fails to even get past the Bios screen.
i've read on forums that people have got 280 -290 on this board, but i`m not one of them
