Is it just me or did anyone else get a cold feeling when Leonard Nimoy does the exit line at the end of the film.?

Must admit i had my doubts about the film being an avid fan of the original but they certainly did it justice.

Just watched it now. Haven't seen any other star trek episodes or films but for me the film is excellent and easily one of the best action films of the last few years.

Is this film accessible for anyone who hasn't seen any of the previous star trek films and has not followed anything trek-wise before?

I.e will i be able to follow the characters and whats going on easily, and not get lost in references to stuff I won't understand?!

No you'll get on fine with it. Its more of an issue if youre an avid star trek fan :p

I didn't know anything about star trek when I watched it but it seems aimed at getting a new audience interested so doesn't expect you to know anything.

The only part I disliked in any great measure was the kid Kirk and the whole car sequence, the rest was pretty darn good.

Saw it a few days back and thought it was good, the best thing about it was that it was funny in places and not in a cringe-worthy typical sci-fi way. Good times 4/5

Am gong to be watching Terminator: Salvation over the weekend at some point, seeing as I love I & II but was physically sick when watching that pap of a film number III, will I be in for tears of joy or jeers of hate?

funny enought in the film i din't thing that sequence fitted that well, but if you watch the cut sences on the dvd you see what it was all about, a case of either not cutting the whole lot out or leaving the whole lot in i think

I saw it at the cinema when it first came out and thought it was excellent, I am also a fan of Star Trek but not a geek so any discrepancies don't bother me, and got the Blu Ray last weekend. I shall be watching it this weekend in a double feature along with Terminator Salvation as long as it gets delivered tomorrow from a certain company it doesn't play to mention as they are a competeitor.
