Just when the questions stop, they will no doubt start all over again!

On the road....
For the past few months, pretty much everywhere I've been in the truck, I get asked if I was in the last series of "Eddie Stobart, Trucks & Trailers" etc etc etc Not to mention having to dodge film crews at various depots....

Thankfully, the questions have died down.....

Sadly though, tonight , Channel 5 at 8PM it all starts again!

The Eddie Stobart Choir showcase their musical skills to promote the new series of Eddie Stobart:Trucks & Trailers, coming to Channel 5 on Friday 20th May at 8pm!

Dear God! :o This does not bode well......

I'm glad I'm off next week! :o

I'm hoping this series will go into detail on the Motorsport transport side of the business - as I am hopefully going into that - but I somehow expect it'll be more transport for TV as opposed to a real fly on the wall.

"R420 stops to make his delivery, is informed of a 2 hour delay, not bothered, he walks back to his cab & either goes to sleep or starts browsing OC/UK forums on his laptop"

Hmm, - probably explains why they don't film guys like me.... ;)

Murder a prostitute - that'll liven it up ;)

Flicking through the channels I would cach the odd 5 minutes of some bird driving one of the wagons to a dairy, or someone turning a lorry around....

"oooh its a bit dark and I dont like waiting in the dark till they open up", I mean FFS how is that interesting?
"oooh, looks like its going to be a bit tight turning round in here!" is it? fantastic.

"matey boy here cooks his dinner on a camping stove on the back of his unit" I CAN BARELY CONTAIN MYSELF! GIVE ME MORE.

I dont see how any of it is interesting.
The only time Logistics/haulage/transport is interesting is when there is a disaster, whatching a load of lorry drivers and support staff doing a very competant but very dull job is incredibly boring.

I nearly crashed undertaking a stobart truck on the hardshoulder just so I could see if there was a monkey in the window.

:D:D:D:D

How many depots actually let you sit in your cab during unloading nowadays?
Mine stopped that ages ago - worst rule they ever brought in.

All the Stobart sites let you do this, others (such as Tesco) insist we hand in keys & wait in drivers "rest rooms"

Some places insist on Red air line disconnected (which locks trailer brakes) keys handed in & drivers still not allowed in cabs.

It annoys me greatly, I used to sleep for hours whilst backed onto loading bays.

Asda - the ones that don't "side tip" do let you stay in the cab, again no keys....

I just started watching this and for some reason I am hooked lol! I going back threw the first season at the moment. The Truck Spotters are a bit crazy to be honest.

R420LA6X2/4MNA - What's your trucks name and do you know anyone who appears in the show?

Man kicks ball. Another man kicks ball. Etc. etc. etc. etc.
Could not be more bored.
