Said one guy at computer shop to me today when I've asked for the cleaner .
He also admited that they setup systems for over 5000 pounds and always do it like that.

When I said that I wouldnt like to do it on few months already burned AS5 he told me that if doesnt go off with just a tissue then it must been not properly applied.

Am I the only one finding this strange

Maybe I just dont like putting too much pressure on my CPUs / GPUs ..

Tissue is normally fine although a little cleaner just gets it off quicker.

I don't have a cleaner.

And even if I did, she would probably charge extra for that.

There's a big difference between something like toilet tissue and a kitchen tissue like Bounty, though both are likely to leave microfibres to varying degrees. Neither are ideal, but I also frequently use a decent kitchen tissue when the application isn't 100% critical and better cleaners aren't to hand.

I have used white spirit quite a lot in the past (dad always have a load in the garage), and a cotton bud or two.

It does seem a little cheap and a bit more effort than using a proper TIM cleaner but tissue works fine, just slightly more hassle is all.

TIM cleaner is like £5 and lasts forever?

I have had the same bottle for years and I use it a few times per week.
