K750i or RAZR V3

The k750i pee all over the Razor from a great height.

The Razor is cool for about a week, soon you got over its looks you'll realise the UI is just plain annoying.

Hmmmm HMMMM!

Ok then, any ideas where I could get a better deal on the k750?

I just got one today for £99.99 in an orange shop, it's the cheapest i've seen really. comes with 64mb card.

I think phones4U have the W810i for £129.99 + £10 top up at the moment, so £140 for the w810i if you want the walkman feature.

What model of Razr is it?.

I have the bog standard V3 with the 1.3 megapixel camera and no provision for any extra memory cards.

Its a nice little phone, but its features ( for my taste anyway ) are a bit limited. I've not got that much stuff on it, a few ringtones and games and some pics and vid clips, but I find it somewhat lacking in memory for such stuff.

The camera is "ok", but again, the results are a bit of a let down.

I'm not keen on the way the buttons are, especially when it comes to texting. The interface is alright but nothing startling.

The bluetooth operation on V3's seems to be a little lacking as well. 4 guys on my shift at work have V3's and one has a Pebl and every one of us have hassles when trying to connect, send or recieve from other phones over bluetooth. Not sure if thats simply a coincidence or a known issue?.

Its a nice size, very light and thin, really handy when going for runs on the bike, can hardly feel it in the inside chest pocket of my leathers.

Not a bad phone but having bought it kind of on "impulse", if I had to choose again, I would go for something different.

It'll be going on that well known online auction site for sale soon as I have just bought a Sony K750i to replace it with. Not as small and light, but the feature list blows the little Moto away to be honest.

So if it were me mate, I would say go for a K750i over a V3.

Or as has been suggested, push the boat out a little further and get an 810i.

ive said it before and i will say it again...

in the name of all that is sane do not get a motorola.

Ive had/used a few in the past and they are simply terrible phones. the ui is outdated and generally the build quality is so shoddy you would think they had set out to achieve just that.

Get the k750i a simply brilliant phone, no doubt about that.

I got a black K750i today, 99.95 with 20 quid credit. (99.95 total.)

PC needed software and .net while I plugged it into the mac, synced the contacts and copied accross music effortlessly.

OS X Strikes again, I love my mac :D and the k750i, really nice :D

Where did you get the phone to get £30 credit ?

Just did a free upgrade from a V3 to a 750i, wanted a 800i but couldn't stomach the £70 they wanted to upgrade from the V3 (I only spend 25 a month on my phone bills)

I never had a problem with the V3, I liked it as a phone and if I had had the choice I would have gone for the V3i thats how much I liked it. Never had a problem with the quality of it or the UI or texting or anything, if anything I find the buttons on the 750i too small for texting and the predictive text mode to be worse than the V3. But hey thats just me :D

Yes the camera on the V3 was rubbish, in fact it was VGA not even 1.3mp, the things that sold me on the 750i was the better camera, the ability to take extra storage so I can use it as a mp3 player and the light/flash mode on the camera.

Also in the past I'd had the 68i when they first came out and I liked that phone, so it would have been motorola or sony for me for the upgrade as I am not a big fan of Nokia phones that much.
