Karaoke

Simon & Garfunkel - 'The Boxer'
Thats a great one to do. Easy to sing, nice melodies, people kinda know it too.

Its just the end bit that goes on forever. You either stick with it feeling bored along with everyone else or leave the song 3 minutes from the end :o

Credence Clearwater Revival - Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising.
Wilson Pickett - Mustang Sally
Elvis - Suspicious Minds

Don't bother with "Sus Minds", as the original just plods along. If they've got the concert version then go mad with all the actions.

If you really want to rock then forget CCR's version of Proud Mary and do Elvis's instead. It's about twice as fast.

Last year I went to a party where I knew everybody including the DJ.
Of course the karaoke book went around and everyone was on my back to do a bit.
After about an hour of harassment I went up to the DJ, went through his normal cd's and picked out a tune.
I then went on doing an air guitar improv to Joe Satrianis Surfing With The Alien.
It was different.

Three years ago I got up at my first karaoke in Tenerife.
The bar was packed with people older than me and I decided to do a full on version of Alright Now with extra screams and shouts.
My wife said it would go over their heads and I said that I knew that.
I went about the song in a heavy metal stylee and you could see the audience wincing and they were glad when I got off.
The DJ got it and asked if I sang with a band back home and there was only one more person in the bar who got it.
if I'd done Angels completely out of tune they would have loved it.
