A Kazahkstan scientist has claimed he cure AIDS by injecting perfume into patients, but only if the cologne is expensive.

Scientist Beime Larzjaibaeva of Tolebinsk announced to a local news agency that his "cure" could work miracles.

Larzjaibaeva said the perfume has to be expensive for his treatment to work.

However he's been slammed by the country's scientific community.

Dr. Kozhahmet Mahirov, head of Kazakhstan's Centre Against AIDS said the treatment was illegal and clearly could harm people whether they had AIDS or not.

It's just like non-moderators discovering your sig is 0.01kb too large.

What makes you think a moderator wouldn't have checked his link anyways?

WOuld you prefer if you made a mistake that could get you in trouble with a (online or in real life) no one told you about it?

I would always prefer to be told, so at least I have a chance of correcting it. :)

I know a girl dying from AIDS. She is skin and bone, her muscles atrophied, her hair falling out. Soon she'll be in a hospital bed waiting to die, and suffering in the meantime.

Tell me you think this thread is funny.

I dare you.

We all agree that AIDS is not funny. We all agree that people suffering from AIDS is not funny. We all agree that people dying from AIDS is not funny.

But we can find a certain black humour in some crazy quack who claims he can cure it with perfume "if it's expensive enough."

A friend of mine died from cancer two days ago, after contracting it only a few months ago. If this guy in Kazahkstan was claiming to cure cancer, I'd still be LOLing at him. Laughter is sometimes a healthy response to the darkest problems.
