I'm looking to replace my G512 SE, its perfect for what i need but the "H" key is starting to stick and it bugging me.
I've tried to clean it with ISO and still the same, i did dump a vodka red bull on it a month of 2 ago :D

I'm dyslexic, so don't type unless i have to, i use it for gaming but only the ones i have to i am a controller fanny.
taking this into account I'm not spending £200 but I'm happy to go up to £100, i like clicky keys

ive just seen you can build a little Glorious Numpad that could be got out for when gaming, so based on that i think i would like a little KB

could you point me in the right direction for a full UK layout

If you like clicky keys your probably after blue switches.

I also like clicky and blue switches are perfect for me.

I have a Ducky One3 full size classic in white and I love it.

Slightly over your budget though about £150.

I recently bought a Monsgeek. Feels nicely put together (quite heavy in fact) the RGB is good, and is pleasant to type on, I went with Akko yellow cream switches.

I actually have a numpad for sale if you wanted it but its got tactiles in it and they're soldered unfortunately. Think its a KBDFans MkII numpad.

Im not saying i would buy this but i get so lost in KB formats, what i need is key caps, switch's and a BB keyboard right.
that would be a basic working keyboard?
is there anything i need to avoid and something/brand i should get

i know i want ISO UK, i cant change layout that would kill my head

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £141.97 (includes delivery: £0.00)

If Nuphy made a ISO UK layout keyboard, I’d recommend that.

I have a Nuphy Halo 65 and everything about it makes me smile.

One thing that surprised me is how good the key caps are on the Nuphy. Much better than I was expecting.

Otherwise, any good reputable mechanical keyboard brand will work fine.

Keychron make some excellent mechanical keyboards that are very well priced.

The K series is well within your budget, comes with a variety of sizes and switch types.

The Q series adds some features and is better overall (stiffer and better made) but is more expensive.

I have an old Q2 that I don’t really like because it comes with linear switches but I can solve that with £80 with of tactile switches down the line.

The K10 has hot swappable switches so if you don’t like the tactile switches it comes with, you can replace it with some Blues or whatever.

If I’m going to buy a pre build I will probably be a Logitech as I know the switch type and the way they feel. They have gone down hill the last few years but the 513 I’ve had before and know I like it.

I do fancy building custom now if I’m honest. I have mix switch types for gaming keys and so on. I don’t type too much so I’m not a switch snob but I do like a heavy key for gaming reasons I like the feedback and feeling the weight under the finger.

I had a Logitech keyboard and hated it.

They do make good keyboards but it tends to be the high end models that people prefer.

The keycaps were custom so I couldn’t swap it out and the switches were scratchy and non hot swappable.

Once you try a proper high end switch or keycap, it ruins you.

I thought linears were great until I tried the tactile MX browns. Then I tried an even better tactile switch and kept falling down the keyboard rabbit hole.

I picked up 100 linear switches for like £30 and don’t use them because they aren’t my cup of tea anymore.

The only thing that stops be from buying a complete set of Boba U4 silent tactile switches is the price.

I was extremely lucky to get my Nuphy Halo 65 with the ghost spacebar, extra keycaps and wrist rest secondhand for £85.

New switches will cost me £80~ so it feels excessive.

I’d try find a place to demo keyboards and see which one feels the best to you, it’s all personal preference

I understand what your saying about the switch's but as I'm dyslexic i don't type unless i have to.
the only reason i went for mechanical is for games, i like the feedback i get from a heavy switch it as if its pushing back against my finger, i don't like the light ones they feel like they collapsed under my finger and i find my self double tapping a lot

if you was building a KB from OcUK with a heavy linear switch, what would guys go for

i looked at the Nuphy but there all ANSI, im wanting ISO, it would take me forever to learn the new layout

Have a look at Akko keyboards as well, they do full size if thats what you're set on.

im looking at a 65% but wanting IOS, obviously this is not a popular layout as the Akko are all ANSI layout.
ive only used ISO like for ever and i dont know if switch layouts would bug me of if i would pick it up fast but i dont want to drop upto £200 into a keyboard that ends up killing my head

Keychron might be a good option then for that case.

I was the same but i've got so used to ANSI now i can't really go back lol.

The ones i suggested are custom keyboards just a package put together by Glorious, so you could swap out to a switch that suits you better if need be.

Also the 65 has proper keys for use with the FN key so you know what the dual function is.
