But that would be stupid as not only would the red stand, but you would have a nice fine 7 probably an extended suspension for doing so.
Why would you feel the need to punch a player just because you have been red carded??? Surely the ref would be the logical choice from an anger point of view, striking the player would just be malicious?

If I was going to push an opponent I'd hate to be sent off for something petty like a little push, I'd at least make sure I didn't get sent off for nothing. In reality I probably wouldn't get provoked enough.
Same thing with getting sent off for swearing at the ref, you might was well give him a torent of verbal abuse, though saying that I think dissent is the worst thing you can be sent off for.

Yes I know that, but the point is you shouldn't be looking for a red card in the 1st place
As a 'proffessional' you should just accept the refs decision even if it is blatently wrong & get on with it, not think well I didn't deserve it for something so little I should have lamped him instead. All he is doing atm is ruining his already poor image as a footballer & dragging Man U along with him in a manner. What he should do is just concentrate on playing football.totally agreed cem
he is being an idiot and eventhough I am defending him in the other thread as being a great footballer (no argument there) his temparement and current situation are forcing into a situation where i am beginning to think we should sell him for whatever we can (£5mill) or so

Well if you're gonna get banned form all football grounds you might as well have hit him. And he was a complete homer, and i think there were about 10,000 people secretly wishing the he had smacked the little oik.
