Keep Getting FPS Drops.

Bear in mind that some games 'just do that sort of thing'. I cant speak for the games you are playing, but certainly Bioshock Infinite likes to lag out when running on my more than capable desktop. Deus Ex HR was the same until the devs released a fix in an update.

Don't disable V-sync. This just leads to ugly tearing in games (very obvious and annoying with ATI cards I find) and puts undue stress on your GPU for no good reason. What to do is get some monitoring software that allows you to display resource utilisation in top left of screen, then you will be able to see if something is maxing out during frame crashes.......if not, it is probs just a bug/driver issue.

Just gone in to game and the problem is still there, it keeps at 60FPS but then it keeps dropping all of a sudden to 20-30 and lags out a lot, does it every minute or so.

I went to task manager in game and my CPU usage went up to like 30%, Dishonoured isn't using the intel CPU graphics as the default for this game by any chance? How do I check if it's definitely using my GPU? That might be the case.

Get a resource monitoring program, in this case MSI Afterburner will do.

Run it.....

When you get a frame rate crash, see what % of your GPU is being used. If your dedicated GPU goes to 0%, then it could well be a iGPU switching issue.....commonplace with AMD laptops if that is what u have.

Cheers for the help mate, I haven't got a laptop, just a PC that I built myself, posted the specs in the opening post.

The game lags even in the opening menu, how do I actually check if the game is using my GPU or the interrogated graphics on the CPU?

Cheers.
