keep getting this windows error

i keep getting this error to do with windows explorer, it normally happens when i'm in 'My Music Folder' but does happen else where not quite as often though, it comes up with the error, and you click close, the window then minismes....

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: wmvcore.dll

Any thoughts guys?

I'm running windows xp, i have a suttle system, running a gig of ram, i have had the same system for 2 years no changes and reinstall every 8 - 10 months.

It seems wmvcore.dll is a WindowsMediaPlayer DLL. You could try downloading the DLL and replacing it with the one you already have in youir Windows\System32 folder.

i wonder if it is down to using windows meadi player 11?

It could be. Have you recently upgraded?

well the error has been popping up over the last 4 weeks, and have had WMP11 for about 6 weeks, i have replaced the DLL, if it happens again i will uninstall WMP11 and then replace the DLL again.
