Keeping the drives cool

Since I got my new graphics card, I've had to move my 2 HDDs together due to a lack of space; where previously there they were one bay apart from each other. Both temperatures of the drives have shot up to about another 5C.

Is ~42C (idling) too hot?

I was thinking of getting a 3.5" to 5.25 mounting kit so there some space between the drives. I have a rear case fan currently. Worth getting a cooler for my HDDs? If so, what is a good one that is very very quiet?
