Always had cats (so I might be nose blind to it) but they generally don't smell. Only when left for the day whilst at work and the kitchen smells a bit because that's where their litter tray is. Open back door clean out litter tray and it's fine.

cats some ultra unique animal that doesn't smell?
humans have the advantage of chemical cleaners and we still smell.
but houses with cats don't smell of poo or **** they smell of cat.
go for it though lick your arm all over then give it a sniff every so often see how it starts to smell.

if i said i saw a man go into the bog, have a poo then flush it, pull up his pants and walk out.
We would not be describing him as a clean gentleman.
I currently have a kitten, and one of my adult cats under house arrest as he keeps running off for days at a time. Moving in less than a fortnight means I can't risk him not being around so two of them using litter trays.
Normally I'd have one inside just in case but they would rarely be using them.
I just sniffed a cat and it didn't smell any worse then my hairy arm. I refrained from licking either my arm or the cat.
Cat's pooing and weeing in the house is the big problem. Litter trays are really disgusting.

I work in peoples houses and the only time I know if they are pet owners is when they have a dog. There's that unmistakable smell of dog as soon as you walk in, closely followed by me sneezing all day.
Cats don't smell of anything to me. I do own one, but even when i didn't i couldn't smell cats in peoples houses. Unless they had a litter tray, which only like 5% do.

I smoke and my clothes don't smell of smoke.
I asked my ex-wife who didn't even know I started smoking again if my coat smelled and she said she couldn't smell anything.

I think a lot of people are in flats. That's why I use one.
Hang on, your cat can go out but you have a litter tray? Therein lies your problem, make it poop outside and all will be well.
As for catsan, I dunno, we tried it many times and Sainsbury's own one was always a bit better (IMO). But yeah, if you're going to keep the litter tray available all the time, make sure it's an enclosed one and get in straight after he/she's gone.

try Oko+ litter from zooplus, catsan was crap, excuse the pun
And if your getting a kitten see if you can get him used to being bathed ASAP thats my one regret wiht our, he'll tear my arnms off now if I try lol

This thread is the first time in my 32 years I have heard anyone say cats smell lol. The only thing I found to the contrary after a quick google of 'do cats smell' was a click bait article and answers on forums relating to litter tray smells.
Pretty sure some are getting confused with the smell of a litter tray/food and a cat.

Im not saying cats smell, hes wonderfull! I can concour its his poo poo and food lol
