Keeping the system in tip top condition?

Just a general query, doesnt matter toooo much, i know a few tricks/tips that help keep the system fresh/fast.

anyone got any more?

things like how often to run disk clean up, other things to do, you get the idea.

Registry cleaner (Registry mechanic)
Spyware scanners (Spybot, Adaware, Spyblaster)
Anti-virus software

I also tend to reinstall windows every 4 or 5 months, backing up all essential files for the fresh install!

You can always create an image if you want, that way you can have the system restored to any state you want it at in about 2 mins.
