Kefalonia anyone been

Booked to go there in early september for a week, im very excited. I know a couple people who have been and they raved about it. Theres plenty for me to do like:
Rent a 125cc bike and ride around the island
Swim in blue sea

Thats a major highlight for me as i have never been in blue sea.
Checkout some of the islands caves they got.
Maybe have a few drinks at night.

Im going by myself (first holiday i been by myself) and i cant wait. Im gonna do what i want, when i want and dont have to make boring small talk

So anyone been and whats your experiences of it?

Like most Greek islands, you’ll find plenty of tavernas, loose women and ouzo. Have fun.

Where abouts are you going? I went to Fiskardo (in the North) last September, it's brilliant! Next week i'm going to Fiskardo for at least 2 months, I have a one way ticket

Last time I went me and my mum became good friends with the two guys that run the dive center so i'm going to help them out for summer. They have free accommodation for me so I only need money for flights and spending money

Drop me an email if you are coming up to Fiskardo, it's around an hours drive from the airport, and we can meet up if you want?

Do you have a provisional? I don't but i've ridden scooters and things before so i'm thinking about maybe buying one when i'm out there because there are no police in Fiskardo!

I went quite a few years ago but we visited a fair few places. There are some caves with fantastic stalagtites/mites, an underground lake, a monestary with a tiny cave where a saint used to live (you have to squeeze through a hole in a wall, it's a bit scary), the main town Argostoli(?) is quite nice and you can always go to the top of the mountain if you get bored. Oh and Myrtos beach, probably one of the most photographed beaches in Greece.

This is where I am going, as you can see it is very quiet!

Although a lot of millionaires go there in their (insanely expensive )yachts so lets hope I can party my way on to one of them with many of the beautiful wimmen!

I went to Zakynthos in 2004, and we did a day trip to Kefalonia, was beautiful, but back then it wasn't all resorted up, had limited nightlife options, whereas Zakynthos was full-on Brits Abroad mode.

The tour to kef included the underground lake, trip to a monastery, and a stay at Myrtos. Was lovely
