Jihad do you own both a ps3 & 360?

Not every 360 is loud? I beg to differ after owning 4 of the blowhorns?

Build quality wise the PS3 trounces ALL over the 360... Actually it was only yesterday that i unboxed from new my latest 360, everything about it's build quality is CHEAP ASS, apart from the controller which is a decent solid affair.

The Elites come with the rather noisy hitachi drives. That's insanity. Here is their one get out of jail card to make it up and build something decent and they make a monkies of that aswell.

Microsoft do not know the meaning of build quality, if they did they would have made a more reliable console that didn't output about 50db of DVD spin noise..

My PS3 on the otherhand, sits there in pure silence unless i'm pushing it with a game, and even then it's only fan noise.. No god awfull hum from it's drive.

My wife who doesn't give a flying poop about consoles or games HATES the 360 just because of it's noise levels. She makes comments about it everytime she hears it.

It's a terrible shame as it could have been so much... now the 360 will be remembered for all it's problems once the next gen fanfare is all done with. and Ms have no-one else to blame but themselve.s

Arf so the elite is made of cheap arse tech also?

I might just buy a core then to play mass effect and a few other games I want

i wouldn't.
not had a problem with M$ machines (xbox and xbox360)
bluray does not impress me at all, it just smacks of sloppy coding and laziness. HD DVD is fine, and as a lot of companies have taken this as the next gen format i doubt we'll be seeing a BIG bluray rush.
graphically they are similar
microsoft have a vastly superior online system, which is lacking in the PS3.
and the 360 looks better physically as well

IT'S FLAWED!!!!! :mad:

Think about it:
* a lot of peopl would have wanted to wait for the PS3
* Some of those people may have given up after 4 months of waiting and purchased a 360
* Some of those people would have waited for the PS3 to get released, compared the two, and decided to go for the 360.

You can't compare the opening few months, as it's just not a fair comparison.

You are mistaken because the Wii has consistently been the top selling console world wide.
As for "nearly two years"?!? Since when is 18months nearly two years and not a year and a half.
Also, since when can you compare sales of a console over 4 years to that of a year and a half? Consoles sell best when they hit a MASS MARKET price point. The 360 is still not in this bracket. It will sell more consoles in years 3 and 4 than in years 1 and 2. As does pretty much every console.

I have a PS3 and a 360, cheers.

Both of the 360's I've had, 1 broke, 1 still working are very quiet, a few friends have loud ones and a few others have quiet ones.

Oh also I have one of these loud "Hitachi" drives, it is not loud at all, guess I got lucky?
(Unless it's because the firmware I flashed onto it made any change which I don't think it did)

I'm happy with the 360's build quality, it doesn't feel cheap to me maybe I just don't expect that much?
I'd rather play my 360 than my PS3, far more titles excite me for 360 than PS3 the only game I want for it is MGS4 so I'm likely selling my PS3 on within the next few days.
