"Key Code in use, try again later" (COD 4)

I now get this message after my brother decided to mess around with the router when i was playing a round.

I tried logging onto other servers, still the same message. I cleared my key code and still no luck.

What can i do?

How did he "mess around with the router"? It could be that your ghost is still connected to the CoD4 server therefore the key is in use. How long have you left it for?

I updated punkbuster after googling it and it managed to resolve it.

Its a bug. If you're not on a static ip rebooting router will sort it.

yeah i had that prob after i reset my router it went away though
