Well, its been a while now but I've managed to try the keyboard with two different ps2 converters with no success....

I hope I don't have keep unplugging the keyboard everytime I turn the system on :|

Any other suggestions at all?

change bios or disable legacy support in bios make sure usb device isnt set as boot up in bios
I am more than sure your solution will be available on the asus support forums

Check the boot sequence, make sure USB device isn't #1 (it sounds like it's trying to boot from your keyboard

).

Have a play with the USB settings in the bios too, try different combinations + whatnot + try resetting cmos.
